I literally paint hundreds of small watercolors each year. Almost daily I find moments of beautiful metaphors in the wild spaces around me. These small paintings are my way of “taking notes” - gathering inspiration and ideas from the natural world. All of these were painted outside, in the fresh air- sometimes in the rain, heat, wind… my favorite place to paint is always outside. These are small, usually 5 x 7”, watercolor on paper.
